JDRF’S AN EVENING OF HOPE ROCK & ROLL FOR A CURE 2012
Cutmaster Music got the opportunity to provide sound and DJ services to this year's JDRF Gala in Albuquerque at the Tamaya Resort. They wanted a 50's themed event with people hoppin' and a boppin' from their first steps into the registration area. The main room was beautifully decorated with huge vinyl records hanging from the ceiling, video screens showing kids dancing on American Bandstand, and uplighting to accent the pink and blue decor of the room. And the cherry on top, were the two 50's Chevy's that were definitely the focal point of the room. We had the pleasure of setting up very close to the red wagon, and as seen by the pictures... she's a beauty!

We had the pleasure of DJ'ing the dance portion of the evening, which included hits from the 50's and early 60's. The playlist included fun songs like "Rockin' Robin," "Sugar Shack," "The Twist," and "Johnny B. Goode." We also played a few classic 50's love songs by artists such as the Temptations, Elvis, Ritchie Valens, and The Platters. Everyone was dressed up and in the mood to get groovy on the dance floor! Check out more pics from the event below!
With a turnout of over 400 people, the Albuquerque chapter of JDRF was able to raise over $100,000 to give towards diabetes research! It was a pleasure to be part of a night that was not only about the great food and decor, but more about inspiration and hope that one day diabetes will be cured.
